On Tuesday the Scottish Government announced an ‘accelerated easing of restrictions‘ coming into force today, Friday 16th April.
East Dunbartonshire remains in Protection Level 4, and the Stay Local guidance from last month remains in place; however from today travel across Scotland is allowed, and you are able to meet outdoors as a group of up to six people from six different households. Under-12s do not count towards the numbers.
Further easing of restrictions is currently scheduled for Monday 26th April, but we still need to remain vigilant: wear a mask if you are out of your house and near other people, wash your hands regularly, and if you have symptoms of Covid (high temperature, a new, dry cough, possible loss of sense of smell) self-isolate and get a test. When you are offered a vaccination, please take it.
OPAL is still here to support you if you are ill or if you need to self-isolate, or even if Covid has disrupted your normal care and support network. Give us a call on 0141 438 2347 or email mail@opaleastdun.org.uk. You can also contact us through Social Media, although the phone and email are quicker.
