On Monday the Scottish Government announced new Covid 19: Stay At Home guidance, which comes into force today.
As East Dunbartonshire is a Protection Level 4 area, the new guidance states that you can only leave your home or garden if you have an essential purpose. The rules for self-isolation of you become symptomatic or test positive for Covid 19 remain unchanged
The Chief Medical Officer is writing to everyone on the Shielding list this week, although the advice will remain as it currently is, that they can leave the house for essential purposes – unlike the first lockdown.
OPAL is currently experiencing a significant increase in demand for shopping and prescription delivery. As a result we will be returning to staffing the phones and the email on a Saturday afternoon for the duration of the current level of restrictions. This will be at least four weeks, but if restrictions have to be extended, we will extend the service to meet the demand.
You can contact OPAL by calling 0141 438 2347, emailing mail@opaleastdun.org.uk, and you can also contact us through social media (although phone and email are quicker).
