An ongoing task for the OPAL Team is raising awareness of the service across East Dunbartonshire. We regularly visit local partners and third sector organisations where our Advisers put into context exactly how OPAL can help. By answering information enquiries, providing the correct information and signposting on to the appropriate services, OPAL can essentially enhance your service by reducing the number of unrelated tasks that staff find themselves doing that may not necessarily be their role, but do anyway. OPAL do that legwork: either answering the enquiry in the first instance or by finding the information that would take a bit longer than a simple online search.
How you can help
Materials
Sharing information about OPAL and passing it to people who may not have access to our online resources would be a great start: we have loads of materials including postcards, business cards, posters, pens, & sticky notes. We can provide you with all of the above and would be grateful if you could distribute these wherever you feel appropriate.
Events
Please let the team know about any upcoming events that may be an opportunity for us to attend. We often host stands at local information days which has been a great way to chat with in person with the people of East Dunbartonshire.
