OPAL closure plans: where you can find other support

For over 12 years, OPAL has been working to help you, your family members, friends, neighbours and colleagues to get the information you need, and to understand the processes behind accessing support in your local communities. Due to funding cuts for third-sector organisations across the area, OPAL will be winding down it’s support for residents of East Dunbartonshire by the end of the year.

Although the OPAL line will be closed, you can still find help in many other places listed below, including where to find private services and some other helpful resources. A large part of our work has been supporting and working closely with the community volunteer groups: from Monday the 16th December, callers will have to contact these groups direct to make a request, details also below.
